Shirley Flugan

Shirley J. (Zeides) Flugan, 76 of Sebring passed away at Mercy Medical Center on August 10, 2014. Shirley was born on October 9, 1937 in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Andrew and Martha (Kelly) Zeides. Shirley enjoyed shopping, crochet, playing bingo, baking and socializing but most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra (Larry Baker) Hightland of Alliance, Belinda (Kim) Keene of Beloit, Michelle Felgenhauer of Alliance, Theresa (John) Wilson Massalsky of Sebring; three granddaughters, Amy Hightland-Lane, Nicole Flugan, Sabrina Wilson; seven grandsons Rockne Flugan Jr., John Hightland Jr., Brandon Keene, Ronald Felgenhauer, James Felgenhauer, Nathan Keene, Patrick Felgenhauer; two great grandchildren Chrissie Rawlings-Hightland and Maria Lane. She is also survived by a sister Anna Mae Schuller of Mogadore. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Rockne B. Flugan, whom she married on November 22, 1957 and passed away on August 25, 2001, step-son Rockne C. Flugan, and a grandson Robert Flugan.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday August 14, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Sherry Henshaw. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
