Ted Lee Schaefer

Ted Lee Schaefer, 66 of Damascus died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Salem Feb. 23, 1942 the son of the late Lee and Helen (Schlosser) Schaefer, Ted graduated from Salem High School and was employed at Press of Ohio in Brimfield and Damascus Sales. He was a US Army veteran and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem and attended Damascus United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Joan E. (Malmsberry) Schaefer whom he married May 6, 1967, 2 sons; Daren Lee (Carol Bruderly and her son Alex) Schaefer of Beloit and Kevin Dale (Lindy Rankin) of Boardman, a granddaughter Shiann Rose Schaefer, a sister Carol Bumbulucz of Charlotte, NC and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home in Salem from 6-8:00PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. A Private Burial with Military Honors provided by the Salem AMVETS and VFW and Pastor Bob Amey of the Damascus United Methodist Church officiating will be held on Thursday at East Goshen Cemetery.
