Thelma Eileen Postiy, 86 of Alliance and formerly of Sebring died Sunday evening at Community Care Center in Alliance surrounded by her loving family. Thelma was born in Kensington, Ohio on April 23, 1922 the daughter of the late Clarence M. and Gertrude (Shaw) Albert. Mrs. Postiy was a member of the Sebring Presbyterian Church and a former employee of Strong Enamel for 6 years and retired from Alliance Manufacturing after 30 years of service in 1982, and a member of the Alliance Manufacturing retirees club. Thelma enjoyed reading, and bingo and spending time with people, she truly loved life and now she is with the Lord. Thelma is survived by; her daughter Robin L. (Ken) Zupanic of Alliance, three sons; Michael D. Postiy and Richard D. Postiy both of Sebring, Larry E. (Mary Lou) Postiy of Warren, three sisters; Dorothy Jordan of Sebring, Sandra Pollock of Alliance and Linda Karns of Beloit, she is also survived by a brother Wesley Albert of Columbus and 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Postiy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael in Sept. of 1984 an infant son and 4 brothers; Dale, Dean, Jerry and Kenneth Albert. Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM and also for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
