Thomas Christy Jr

Thomas H. Christy Jr., 76 of North Benton passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Altercare of Alliance. Thomas was born in Charleston, WV on January 28, 1933 the son of Thomas H. Christy Sr. and the late Wilma (Dorsey) Christy. Thomas retired as a superintendent for the Ford Automotive Company and was a member of the UAW and the Fraternal Order of Police and a US Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife Mabel Virginia Christy whom he married on October 15, 1955 of North Benton, two stepsons David L. Workman of Dunbar, WV and Gary W. Workman of South Carolina, two grandchildren, a brother Joseph Christy of South Charleston, WV, two sisters Peggy Taylor of South Charleston, WV and Mary Kinder of Durbin, WV. Besides his mother Thomas was preceded in death by a brother Frank Christy. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Kinder, officiating. Friends may call on Monday, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Hartzell Cemetery. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
