Thomas L. Morgan 72, of Beloit died Monday, October 06, 2008 while on vacation in Cancun, Mexico. He was born in Alliance, Ohio on June 19, 1936 the son of the late Lewis E. and Blodwen M. (Williams) Morgan. Tom was a wonderful husband and father who loved spending time with his family…especially his grandchildren. He graduated from Alliance High School in the class of 1954. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was a rifle instructor. Tom attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alliance and retired from General Motors, Lordstown in 1996. He was a master craftsman at knife making and loved hunting arrowheads. Tom was a member of the Alliance Elks, the United Auto Workers and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed his mornings at Runzo’s Outdoor Sports Shop having coffee with his friends. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Morris) Morgan whom he married on June 25, 1994, a daughter Jennifer L. Franko of Sebring, and son Scott T. (Polly) Morgan of Powell, Ohio. He is also survived by three grandchildren Allison Morgan, Claire Morgan, and Jack Clapper, his former wife Carol R. Morgan of Cuyahoga Falls, stepdaughters Tammy Morgan Long of Sebring and Suzanne (Bob) Morgan of Beloit, a stepson Ronald (Amy) Morgan of Alliance. Also surviving step grandchildren, Jared, Tara, Josh Veronica, Teralyn and step greatgrandaughter, Breonalyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Diane Jones. Services will be held Monday, October 13, 2008 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alliance at noon. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till the time of the services at the church. Burial will be in Alliance City Cemetery. Friends may sign the guest register and send condolences online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
