Todd Garvin

Todd R. Garvin, 73, of Beloit, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2009 surrounded by his family. He was born to Earl and Rhoda Garvin on December 18, 1935 in Sandy Valley, PA. He joined the Marines in 1954. When coming to Ohio he worked for and retired from Transue and Williams after over 30 years of service. Mr. Garvin is survived by his wife Judith (Glass) Garvin, 2 daughters; Dawn (Russ) Carner, Karen Dimit, 3 granddaughters; Stephanie (John) Samples, Tricia Dimit and Jenalee Gfeller. He also has 3 stepchildren; Dianne (Rick) Holland, Jason (Margie) Buxton and Scott Buxton, 2 step grandchildren Aaron and Cheyenne, 2 brothers; Jack (Carol) and Jim (Cherre) and 3 sisters; Thalya (his twin sister), Nancy and Harriet. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Todd was always being surrounded with love from family and many friends. Preceding him in death was his first wife of 47 years Marion (Reid), his parents, 2 brothers Charles and Allen and a son-in-law Jeff Gfeller. In life he enjoyed working on cars, going on adventures on his Harley and being an avid fan and spectator at many West Branch sporting events. He loved watching his granddaughters grow and mature into their own individual. One of his favorite things was to attend the Sebring Church of the Nazarene and giving God all the Praise. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Sebring Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4th from 2-8 Pm at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM, friends may also visit at the Church the hour prior to the service.
