Vallory Lynn (Bowen) Safreed, age 58, of Alliance died at her home on Friday, March 10, 2017. Vallory was born on February 7, 1959 in Alliance to James and Marilyn (McGrath) Bowen. She worked as a home manager for Res Care for 28 years. Vallory enjoyed spending time outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping where she could be found always playing a game of Corn Hole. She also enjoyed picking up a book and reading, watching the West Branch Little Warriors; But most of all she Cherished spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include her mother Marilyn (James) Funkhouser of Minerva, her husband Jerry whom she married on September 18, 1982; a son Jerry (Kelly) Safreed of Orrick, MO; three daughters Ginger (Kevin) Smith of Rayville, MO, Jeannie (Charles) Copeland of Alliance, OH and Billie Jean Safreed of Massillon, OH; five brothers Gregory Bowen, Wayne Bowen, Wesley (Sandy) Bowen, James Bowen and James Funkhouser; brother in-law Harold (Marlene) Morris of Beloit; two sisters Brenda Bycraft and Candice Funkhouser;  11 Grandchildren Kevin Smith, Natasha (Ben Goulden) Smith, Jacob Smith, Dwayne Lanham, Kristen Lanham, Blake Mitchell, Allayna Copeland, Samantha Safreed, Jerry Safreed, Aleela Copeland, and Beau Copeland. A Great Grandchild Peyton Smith and her special friends Molly Maher and Lauren Wheeler.  Vallory was preceded in death by her father James and a brother Mitchel Bowen.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral home with Rev. Louis Boston officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
