Vaunda L. Gorby, 81 of Sebring passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at her home. Vaunda was born on November 23, 1931 in Pekin, Ohio to the late Arthur and Euphania (Wilson) Moore; she was a graduate of Sebring High School and a long time worker at American Art and China retiring after 52 years of service and ownership. She also enjoyed compiling family history, a member of the Sebring Historical Society and the American Legion Post 76 Auxillary.
Survivors include her 2 sons; Ray Rayme (Kim) Gorby of Alliance, Randy Gorby and Paula Gorby of Sebring, grandchildren; Brandy (Chris) Roose-DiFilippo of Brimfield, OH, Randi (Dan Ritchey) Roose of Sebring, great grandson Noah Ritchey of Sebring, a grandson Derek (Stephanie) Gorby of Columbus and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ray in 2008 a son Richard Rick Gorby in 1981 a sister Velma and 4 brothers; Jack, Art, Wendall and Dick.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Norma Bates officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
