Verlen âGeneâ Norman, 70, of Austintown and formerly of Sebring, died at 6:50 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Verlen G. and Clara Mazie (Jones) Norman. Gene was a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene and worked for B-Line Trucking. Mr. Norman is survived by his wife Bessie Marie (Schisler) Norman whom he married on Oct. 7 2006, he is also survived by five daughters; Debra (David) Shoemate, Sandy (Ed) Nolder, Diana (Richard) Gary, Susan (Gary) Spooner all of Springtown, Texas and Donna (Michael) OâConnor of Canfield, four sons; Donald Norman of Tampa, Fl, David (Sharon) Norman of Lorain, OH, William (Chris) Norman of Ellsworth, OH and Robert Norman of Springtown, Texas, two step-daughters Mary (Robert) Woodley and Paula (Shannon) Mather both of Sebring and 21 grandchildren. He is also survived by; two brothers; Tom (Naomi) Norman of Randolph, OH and Marvin (Janie) Norman of Crawfordville, Fl and a sister Mary (Bryon) Osborne of Port Ritchie, Fl. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy (Dodd) and a son James Norman. A Memorial Service will be held at the Sebring Church of the Nazarene at 6:00 PM, Saturday May 24, 2008, with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
