Viola was born July 2, 1928, in Sebring, the daughter of the late Chelsea T. and Olive E. (Hopkins) Ward. She shared her love of the Lord with everyone. She enjoyed Golden Oldies, camping, traveling, bowling, and tending her beautiful flower garden with her friend, Sue. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Viola was a 1947 graduate of Sebring High School. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her family, parents and brothers over the years. She was always giving and loved to help everyone she could.
Viola is survived by her sister Rachel Witherspoon of Alliance; her children Bill JR (fiancé Marilyn Haren) of Beloit, David (Debie) Stockburger of Jasper, Indiana, Holly (Steve) Woolf of Westville Lake, Lori Ann Stockburger of New Waterford; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bill, whom she was married to for 65 years and who passed away December 15, 2013 and her brothers Chelsea Jr., Jack and Kenny Ward. Precious memories of love, laughter and good times will be cherished by her family always.
