Virginia Hetherington

Virginia Mae Hetherington age 82, of Sebring passed away at 10:00 PM Thursday Aug. 9, 2007, at Blossom Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Westmorland Co., Ligonier Twp., PA, on July 9, 1925, to the late Elmer L and Elizabeth Ellen (Gibson) Hoffer. Virginia was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed sports and watching the Cleveland Indians games and loved to travel. Her grandchildren were a great joy to her. She was a former employee of the Limoges China Co. and worked as a stamper for Queens China, where she retired from in 1987. Friends and neighbors fondly remember seeing Virginia and her husband, Kenny, on their daily walks together. Virginia is survived by her Husband Kenneth Hetherington whom she married on Jan. 11, 1952; 1 daughter Jo Ann (David) Tillman of Homeworth; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Bush and Anna Flack both of Ligonier, Pa; Lois Himler of Latrobe, Pa; 1 brother Larry Hoffer of Ligonier, Pa; 2 grandchildren Allison (Jason) Ludwig and Kurt (Vera) Tillman; and 2 great grandchildren Trevor and Carter Ludwig. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 1 sister Dorothy Snodgrass and 1 brother John Hoffer. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Harsh officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:00 AM on Monday with the family present from noon to 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may view the obituary and sign the guest register on line at www.grfuneralhome.com.
