Virginia Stanley

Virginia May Stanley, 86 of Sebring and formerly of Damascus passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Crandall Medical Center. Virginia was born in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio on April 18, 1924 the daughter of the late Myron E. and Esther (Grafton) Goff; she was a member of Damascus Friends Church and the Rebecca Coleman Missionary Society. Survivors include her son John E. Stanley and a daughter Judy M. Bender both of Salem, a granddaughter and 2 step grandsons. She is also survived by four siblings; Russell Goff of Marion, IN Wilbur Goff of Pittsburgh, PA Evelyn Steer of Damascus, Charlott Jackson of Stow and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; Roger Goff and Raymond Goff. Services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Damascus Friends Church with Pastor John Ryser officiating. Friends may call at the church the hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will take place in Damascus Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Virginia’s honor to Damascus Friends Church PO Box 205 Damascus, OH 44619.
