Vivian Lockhart

Vivian R. Lockhart, 84 of Damascus passed away early Friday morning at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown. Vivian was born in Salem on May 21, 1925 the daughter of the late David and Clara (Kampfer) Waithman. Mrs. Lockhart was a member of East Goshen Friends Church where she served as a custodian and Sunday school teacher, she also did volunteer work at Copeland Oaks. Vivian was known by many as an excellent homemaker and housekeeper. Survivors include her two daughters; Nancy R. (John) Thomas of Damascus, Denise Soles of Liverpool, New York, two grandsons; Troy (Kasy) Soles of Louisville, Ohio and Tyler Soles of Liverpool, New York. Survivors also include her brother Gordon Waithman of Beloit, 5 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. Besides her parents Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Fred Lockhart in 1993 and her sister June Barnes in 2008. Services will be held at the East Goshen Friends Church at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 10, 2009 with Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. Friends may call on Monday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home from 2-8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in East Goshen Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to East Goshen Missions c/o East Goshen Friends Church 16800 South Range Road, Beloit, OH 44609 in honor of Vivian.
