Wayne Burgess

Wayne W. Burgess Sr., 98 of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Wayne was born in East Liverpool, OH on June 19, 1916 the son of the late George and Eleanora (Bebout); he was a 1935 graduate of Sebring High School and a veteran of the US Army. Wayne was a mold designer for Sebring China and French Saxon. He was a lifelong area resident until moving to Boynton Beach in 1992. Mr. Burgess was a member of the Alliance First Friends Church. Wayne enjoyed making various things for people by hand and was a very artistic person.
Survivors include his three daughters, Carol Schultz of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Karen (Mike) Lucas of Boynton Beach, Florida and Kandace White of Boynton Beach, Florida. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Grayce (Adams) in 2003, a son Wayne Burgess Jr, two brothers Donald, George and two granddaughters Kimberly Ellis and Terri Lynn King.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening, November 28, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery.
