Wesley Brindack

Wesley Brindack, 92, of Sebring passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Community Care Center in Alliance. He was born in Quakerstown, PA on April 12, 1918 to Andrew and Julia (Postihach) Brindack. Wesley worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps in the late 1930’s and through the years with the PA Railroad, Alliance Brickyard, Mullins in Salem, Alliance Ware, and finally retiring from Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Division as a Crane operator after 31 years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, he was veteran of WWII serving as a medical technician in the 1050th Army Air Force Basic Unit at Fort Douglas, Utah. Wesley was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring where he had been an usher and altar server for many years. He belonged to the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a daughter Patricia (Don) Morris of Damascus, grandsons; Jeffrey Morris of Stowe and Joseph Morris of Damascus, brother and sister in law George (Ruby) Amabeli and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded by his wife of 61 years, the former Florence Amabeli in May of 2008, two sons; Thomas Brindack in 1973 and Edward Brindack in 2005 as well as 11 other siblings. Wesley kept himself busy and active around the home, at St. Ann’s and often visited ailing friends. He enjoyed being around other people, greeting them with a smile and wishing them well. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, family and friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Sebring with Fr. Thomas Dyer officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30AM. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
