Willard J. âBillâ Kennedy, age 84, of Beloit, died on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Crandal Medical Center II. He was born in Salineville, Ohio on July 20, 1923, the son of the late Stephen T. and Bertha (Baker) Kennedy. Bill graduated from Salineville High School in 1941 and served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was employed US Postal Service in the Beloit area for 27 years retiring in 1985 and was a member and past commander of Sebring VFW Post 6730, a member of Georgetown George D. Worth American Legion #574 and also belonged to the Salem Eagles Arie 316. Bill is survived by his wife Adrienne (Hawkins) Kennedy, a daughter Kathleen Kennedy, a son Michael Kennedy both of Sebring, four step children; Lisa Fletcher of North canton, Robert Mick of Beloit, Stephen Mick of Sebring, Shawn Mick of St. Augustine, FL and twelve step grandchildren. Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his daughter Melody L. Kennedy and son Stephen T Kennedy II, sisters Jean Needham, Eileen âSisâ Kessler, Pat Shephard, Ellen âHonâ Johnson, Susan Kennedy and brothers Francis âPeteâ Kennedy, Thomas Kennedy and his parents. Per his request there will be no services, burial will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
