Duane Sutton, 77, retired, of North Benton, died on Sun. 6-10-07 @ 12:04 PM, at Wills Creek, Plainfield, Ohio, doing what he liked best âfishing. He was born in Oklahoma 1/05/30. He was preceded in death by parents Walter W. and Bessie (Jackson) Sutton, a sister Mary Faye (John) Haglund, and brother Eaf Sutton. Duane was associated with the oil and gas production industry in Ohio and Pa area for the past 40 years. He owned and operated Sutton Pump in New Philly, Ohio for 20 years. He loved fishing and golf. He was club champion several years at the Sunbury Golf Club. Duane was a member of the Union Country Club in Dover and the Alliance Country Club in Alliance. Bane was an avid golfer. After hanging up his clubs he spent more time at his second passion âfishing-loving Wills Creek. He served in the Army from 1949-1952, spending most of his tour in Hawaii. He played semi-pro baseball while in the military. He was a member of the VFW 6730 and American Legion #76 in Sebring, Oh.. Duane will be lovingly remembered by his daughters; Gail (Jerry) Droddy of Reynoldsburg, Oh. and Jennifer (Brent) Belknap of Dover; grandchildren; Traci Madden and James Duane âJ.D.â Madden of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Olivia and Alana Belknap of Dover; brothers Walter (Dub) Sutton of Okla.; L. Ray Sutton. of Texas and sister Evelyn (Floyd) Stephens of Okla.. Duane will be missed by his many, many.many.friends;especially Lynn and the whole oil field crew; but most of all by his long-time friend and companion Janet Forgacs There will be no services, per his request; Remember him as he was.
