Biography
William H. Hines Jr., 64 of Salem passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. William was born in New Jersey on December 5, 1950 the son of the late William and Adelaide (Daly) Hines; he was employed by The New Jersey Transit System where he was a mechanic. He served in the United States Marine Core and enjoyed watching Nascar and NRHA. He was a dog lover and enjoyed going fishing. He was a big supporter of the Quaker City Raceway where you could always find him watching the races.
Survivors include his companion of six years Beverly McCoy, three children Stacie (Buddy) Bates of Millville, NJ., William (Sharon) Hines of Mays Landing, NJ., and Matthew Hines of West Virginia and two step sons Brian and Steven Woodall. Also a brother Jack Hines of Vineland, NJ., and five sisters Regina (Joe) Pettit of Millville, NJ., Elizabeth (Bill) Nichols of Millville, NJ., Virginia Peck of Tennessee, Mary Shropshire of Florida and Adele Chambers of Florida. Also eight grandchildren Tiffany, Buddy, Jimmy, Katelyn, Darin, Mathew, Brandon and Kristian and four great grandchildren. Besides his parents William was preceded in death by two brothers Byron Hines and Patrick Hines.
