William "Bill" Sheldon

William R. “Bill” Sheldon, 86, of Sebring passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Bill was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 25, 1923 the son of the late Frederick and Ruth (Dunn) Sheldon; he graduated from North Lima High School in the class of 1941 and worked as a foreman for East Fairfield Coal Company for 40 years. Mr. Sheldon was a lifetime member of the Nazarene Faith and was a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene for 40 years, he served as the current treasurer of the church and was very involved in the church’s activities including going on 22 work and witness mission trips for the church. Survivors include his sister Lucille Tarr of Wadsworth, Ohio and a brother John Sheldon of Boardman. Besides his parents Bill was preceded in death by his 2 brothers Howard and Fred and 5 sisters; Mildred, Edna, Eunice, Ruth and Dorothy. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Sebring Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call at the church the hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
